An Accident in Beacon Hill

Wednesday, May 25

This happened a while ago, but is worth introducing. Dr.A was coming back early from the conference, walking on the Charles Street in the evening and witnessed something unusual: an area around a cafe was cordoned off and the gas company's vans along with fire engines were there. Then he spotted a car which had crashed into a street lamp. It looked like the car had knocked down an old fire alarm and hit a car before stopping near the outdoor seating area of the cafe.

When we walked by the same place together about an hour later, the cars were being towed. It seemed things had cleared up a little bit, but the area was still blocked.

We walked back much later that night, and saw that more than one news channel was carrying the story live. That was when we realized that the accident was lot more serious than just a simple car vs. streetlamp accident.
